Synchronize Media Files with PSP HotPot

Qrias has released a new tool for synchronizing media files between your PC and your PSP: PSP HotPot.

From the website: "Its default configuration allows you to copy or shuffle items in iTunes Library, My Pictures, My Videos and PSP Saved Games. Advanced users will be able to customize PSP Hotpot like a full-fledge personal backup tool."

PSP HotPot will convert and synchronize whatever file folders you have specified, and does so automatically when you connect your PSP.

Move TiVo Programs to your PSP

A recent article in the Wichita Eagle describes a process using avalable freeware to move programs recorded on a TiVo to a PSP.

Obviously, you need to have all the right equipment and software (it is detailed in the article), but here are the basics:

• a PSP w/ a Memory Stick Duo Pro
  
• A PC with TiVoToGo installed
• A Series2 TiVo with TiCoToGo installed
• A USB cable for connecting your PSP and PC

It is a lengthy process (both in steps and time), but the writer says the end product is well worth it.

I haven't tried it yet, but I'll bet that ReplayTV files moved to the PSP via DVArchive probably play without modification.

Headphone Splitter from Logitech

You can get lots of different models of splitters to allow two people to share a headphone jack, but Logitech has made one specifically for the PSP.

The Playgear Share is different from other splitters since it is designed to fit the PSP. It is a rigid cable which, when plugged in, presents a pair of stereo headphone jacks directly to the front of the unit.

Car Mount from Radica

Radica USA has announced a new line of PSP accessories underr the brand name "black", and one of the more interesting products is the Car Station.

The Car Station is a PSP mount which rests in a cup holder, routes the power and audio cables out of your way, and provides a suction-cupped attachment for the PSP which swivels for nearly infinite viewing positions.

All the new items from Radica will be available on September 1st to coincide with the European launch of the PSP.
