2.1 Speaker System

The Logic3 Sound System for PSP isn't just another portable, clip-on set of speakers.

This attractive setup is said to "provide astounding sound using a high class amplifier," thanks to its deep bass sub-woofer, it's 3D Suround Sound circuitry, and 12 Watts of power.

It comes with a power adapter, carrying case, and an audio cable. It will also run on four AA batteries. Functioning as a dock, it also charges your PSP.

It is currently only available in Europe for 49.99 pounds sterling (about $90 US).

Amazing Leather Suit

Forget all the cheap, rubberized skins for your PSP, and shell out the bucks for the sexiest, coolest case ever made: the i-volution leather suit.

This beautiful case provides full access to all controls, the charger connecctor, and the USB port. It has a magnetic closure, plus a snap for extra security. The cover can be removed and used as a base for viewing the screen, and the case also features three memory stick slots.

At $180, it costs about as much as a PSP... but it looks to be worth it.

Neck Strap with Integrated Headphones

Hori has announced an ingenious combination that eliminates some wires: A neck strap that includes earbud headphones.

The lanyard has a reinforced lock strap which attaches to your PSP, an audio cable to connect to the audio output of your Portable, and earbuds for your listening pleasure. PSP411 has a nice review.

I can't find 'em anywhere yet, but they're rumored to be available in July. They're listed at 1200 yen (a little less than $12).

Another Add-on Battery Pack

Lik Sang is offering a clip-on battery pack for the PSP.

It attaches to the back of the unit and connects to the external DC power connector. It provides up to twice the normal battery life, has an on/off switch, and enables the "Ultra bright" display mode on the PSP.

In all of the writeups, I could not determine the type of batteries used in the unit. I can't tell if it is a rechargeable, or if it hold four AA cells, or if it has an optional hand crank...

Get this clip-on battery pack for only $14.95.

The case is equipped with a belt loop (so you can look really cool with it on your waist) and is strap-connectable. The outside shell is made of nylon, which is water resistant, and has inner cushioning for ulimate protection. The interior also has room to store earphones, charger, UMDs, and a memory stick. The case also has a secure S-Bracket attachment, along with flip up inner S-Bracket for easier UMD replacement. Although it is a twin case, there is a detachable case that can be used seperately. Lastly, it also converts into a little home theatre for your viewing pleasure.

The price for the case is set at 29.99, but it's currently on sale for 19.99. Overall, this case has great features that will come in handy for trasporting your PSP and keeping its equipment organized.

Logitech Portable Speakers

Logitech has announced a portable speaker system for the PSP that looks a lot like their product for iPods (although the PSP unit is black, not white).

The Logitech PlayGear Amp runs on either four AAA batteries, or an included AC adapter. It has a cradle designed specifically for the PSP, and looks like a perfect stand/speaker solution for watching movies. Logitech claims that the quad micro drivers produce excellent sound, and the in-depth review over at PSPWorld seems to agree. Oh, did I mention it also comes with a carrying case?

The PlayGear Amp is priced at $59.99, but won't be shipping until July.
